HalCyon Straps & Di Stefano Straps presents...

A little collaboration project between Simona Di Stefano, Steve Bell & Me...

We decided to synergize our ideas, put our heads together to raise funds for our friends in Japan in their time of need. we all know about what happened in Japan on 11 March 2011 and have probably read all about it in the news.

A total of 6 limited release strap are produced for this fundraiser. Each Rizin Sun strap is produced entirely by hand and will come individually numbered (JP1 - JP6) C/W a Sewn in Buckle, Hang Tag, & Strap Pouch.

Each strap is priced at USD200 NETT (Payments by PayPal as GIFT ONLY PLEASE) and worldwide shipping is included via registered airmail. Straps will be shipped out from Malaysia.

We will contribute 100% of the proceeds from the sale of these straps to the Malaysian Red Crescent Society who will assist to channel the funds to the Japan Red Cross Society. I will personally consolidate all the funds received from this sale from my PayPal account (USD converted to MYR) to my personal CIMB Bank Account in Malaysia by 30 April 2011 and upon 3 business days for fund clearence from PayPal, i will transfer the funds to the MRCS bank account as stated in the below link. after the transaction is complete, i will post a screenshot of the online transaction and post it in this blog and on http://www.paneristi.com/ as well.

Greetings from HalCyon Straps & thanks for stopping by. I’m a strapmaker by hobby after my regular day job. I started making straps for Panerai watches about a year & a half ago. As an avid watch collector, I love how each strap change creates a different character, personality, depth & dimension to the watches i'm wearing. I found myself spending hundreds of dollars on straps which sadly many of them did not meet my expectations. so i thought, hey, i could build one for me just as good... if not better. And so i did... and my journey began. One strap after another, a couple of projects here and there generated enough interest for me to start taking this to the next level... and so here's a place i've created to share with you my work & passion.

Each strap from my creations are entirely made by hand and each handcrafted piece is unique & one of a kind. Sure there’ll be minor imperfections you will notice in all handmade products but in my personal opinion these are the unique characteristics that make a handcrafted strap so much more aesthetically special, genuine, filled with character & personalized to suit ones individual style & taste

Most of the straps I am offering are available in limited quantity, some no more than 10 straps made per type of leather as I source my leather in small quantities for most of my strap projects.

This is an amazing old vintage full grain calf leather which is been well preserved and kept as a private stock of my leather supplier for many years . The color and texture of the hide is so beautiful and has naturally developed a nice patina over the years its been kept and maintained. A True Closet Classic!
